Progresyon Gösteren İris Pigment Epitel Kistinin Limbus Yaklaşımı ile Boşaltılması

ÖZET
Progresyon gösteren iris pigment epitel (İPE) kistleri, iriste kabarıklık şeklinde ortaya çıkar ve iris melanomu ile karışabilir. Büyük iris kistleri iriste atrofi ve açı kapanması glokomuna yol açabilir. Tanı ve takibinde iris kistlerinin boşaltılması gerekebilir. Bu açıdan özellikle periferik iris kistlerinin malign durumlardan ayırıcı tanısının yapılması ve progresyon gösterirse doğru yöntemlerle yönetilmesi gerekmektedir. Çalışmamızda İPE kisti olan bir olgunun klinik bulgularını, ultrason biyomikroskopi görüntüleme sonuçlarını ve limbus yaklaşımı ile İPE kistinin boşaltılmasını sunmak amaçlandı.

Drainage of a Progressive Iris Pigment Epithelium Cyst by Limbal Approach
ABSTRACT
Progressive iris pigment epithelial (IPE) cysts present as a swelling in iris and should be differentiated from iris melanomas. Large iris cysts may cause atrophy of the iris and angle closure glaucoma. Their drainage might be necessary at the diagnosis or during follow-up. Differential diagnosis of the peripheral iris cysts from malign melanomas is important, and if there is progression, various methods may be considered for the management. We aimed to present the clinical properties, ultrasound biomicroscopy findings and the drainage by limbal approach in a case with IPE cyst in this study.
